Peter was the
Managing Partner of
an international law
firm. He and his wife
Gilly retired to
Whitbourne in 2014.
He was elected to the
Parish Council in
2015 and has served
as Chair of the Village
Hall Committee and
member of the
District Church
Council.
Ron spent his childhood in
Whitbourne and attended the
village school. After serving in
the armed forces he
returned
to the village over 20 years
ago to take over his father’s
farm. He has been a parish
councillor for more than 10
years.
Sally and Philip moved
to Badley
Wood,Whitbourne in
2003 and have been
active members of the
community.Sally
worked as a District
Nursing Sister for
many years in
Worcester and also
spent 10 years at St
Richards Hospice as a
senior nurse and then
Matron before retiring.
She has much life
experience and now
enjoys a busy life.
Jackie has been a full-
time working Mum for
the last 30+years with
a daughter of 31, a
research scientist in
Cambridge and a son
of 12, a pupil at
Chantry High School,
where Jackie is on the
PTA Friends
Committee. Jackie is a
National Account
Manager, working
within the cleaning
industry. She moved
to Whitbourne from
Worcester in 2002 and
was elected to the
Parish Council in May
2015.
"Liz Kershaw moved with
her husband Neil to
Whitbourne in 2013.
Following retirement from
a career in IT systems and
business supplies sales,
she has helped support a
literacy scheme within
prisons and volunteered
with disadvantaged
teenagers. She is a past
Chair of the Whitbourne
Village Hall committee,
serves on the Whitbourne
Playing Field committee,
helps with the Whitbourne
Parish Magazine and
volunteers in the village
shop. She joined the
Parish Council in 2023
"Paul works for a
large IT company and
manages its UK
health research
business. He and his
wife, Julianne moved
to Whitbourne in
2016 and are keen to
learn about its
history and
contribute to village
life. Paul has been a
long serving school
governor with
successful
experience in fund
raising to support
education.
"Tess (Teresa) moved
to the village from
Worcester with her
husband Neil, she
has now resided in
Whitbourne for the
last 27 years. She is
a full-time working
mum bringing up her
two daughters, of
which one has been
serving in the Royal
Navy for the past 5
years. Tess has been
an active and
supportive member
of the Whitbourne
Playing Fields
committee.”
" Nigel lives on a
smallholding on
Bringsty Common. An
engineer by profession
he previously served 8
years representing
Bringsty /West
Bromyard as a
Herefordshire
Councillor. Both of his
children attended
Whitbourne School
and he suspects he's
walked every footpath
and ridden every
bridleway in the
district in the 35 years
he's lived here."
Before he & his wife
retired to Whitbourne
in 2015, Mark was a
career Police Officer for
30 years & then a Civil
Servant with the
Highways Agency in the
South East. He has
been on the board of
several charities & is a
Change Management
consultant. Mark is a
village shop & Top Fruit
orchard project
volunteer.
